MYTH OR FACT?

In recent years, CBD has gained popularity as a natural remedy for a variety of health concerns. However, there are still many myths and misconceptions surrounding this compound. Here are the five biggest myths about CBD:

Myth #1: CBD will get you high

  • One of the most common misconceptions about CBD is that it will get you high. This myth stems from the fact that CBD is found in marijuana plants, which are known for their intoxicating effects. However, it's important to note that CBD and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are two completely separate compounds. THC is the compound responsible for the intoxicating effects of marijuana, while CBD does not have any intoxicating properties.

Myth #2: CBD has no proven health benefits

  • Some people believe that CBD has no proven health benefits. However, this is not the case. There is a growing body of research that suggests CBD may be effective in reducing anxiety and stress, relieving chronic pain, and improving sleep. In addition, CBD has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, making it a potential treatment for a variety of conditions, including arthritis and Crohn's disease.

Myth #3: All CBD products are the same

  • Not all CBD products are created equal. It's important to do your research and choose a high-quality product from a reputable source. Look for products that are third-party tested and made from organically grown hemp. In addition, be sure to check the label for information on the strength and purity of the product. (all CBD By Stef products are made with third party tested CBD and as many organic products as possible)

Myth #4: The plant medicine in the cannabis plant have only recently been discovered.

  • Marijuana has been used for hundreds of years and has numerous medical uses prescribed by TCM, dry cough, asthma, calming nerves, insomnia & pain. To list a few. It is listed as one of the 50 Fundamental Herbs of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Myth #5 CBD is just a con. It doesn't actually do anything

  • Your body produces substances called endocannabinoids that are similar to the cannabinoids found in Cannabis plants. Your natural biochemicals activate receptors in different parts of your body, where they trigger specific reactions, and improve your health. The active cannabinoids in CBD products bind with the same receptors, causing the same beneficial effects, essentially boosting your own endocannabinoids.

CBD is all the rage these days and there is so much mis-information out there, it's important to do your research. Reach out to me anytime if you have questions about CBD and its benefits.
